A Day in This Little Town - Visitor's Poem

by Liz Gillespie
(Scotland, UK)

The morning has woken wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket of mist
And an eerie silence befalls this little town

A late summer sun burns in the sky warming the afternoon up
and the blanket of mist is put by for another day in this happy little town

Nightfall comes early and the air cools quickly as families ease into their evening activities
And the lights go on in every home in this cosy little town

Children in pjs with squeaky clean skin are ready for bed get snuggled down in a fuzzy blanket of warmth and dreams
And the lights all go out in this sleepy little town
