A Message from A Father's Soul - Poem

by Reena Shukla

Old Notebook

For me only one is beautiful.
For me only one is wonderful.
A sea is called a sea
Because of water.
I am called by my name
Because of my daughters.
The day maybe dark,
but I find my light in their smiles.
And if, sometimes, they cry,
I lose my soul to the sky.
The sky weeps rain
And my tears flow all over them.
Their heart is as beautiful as a lovely poem.
I maybe no more, but my soul still loves them.
Oh no! How can I get angry?
How can I leave them in misery?
Oh! Let me suffer in place of them!
Let my heart pain in place of them!
I call them, but they can't hear.
This is one pain, I can't bear!
Lord! Help me!
I am all alone in this dark world.
Let them hear me when I shout.
I want to hold their hands
And let them know I am there.
They are the only ones I care.
Like two roses are their faces.
I want to shower them with embraces.
This is my love, this is my poem.
I maybe no more, but my soul still loves them.

A poignant poem

Thanks Reena for your contribution! What a poem that's so filled with love, anguish and emotions! May the two little girl always remember how much their father loves them forever...
