A Very Special Gift - Visitor's Story

It was a very windy December in Pennsylvania. My 6-year-old mentally challenged daughter and I were attending a birthday party; on our way out, the mom of the birthday child gave my daughter three balloons.

I put my daughter in the car and told her to hold on tight to the balloons while I closed the door; that fast, the balloons were gone.

She cried and cried like her heart was broken. I knew God spoke to me in that moment; I looked at my daughter and told her to listen, to listen very closely. I asked if she heard singing. She shook her head and answered "no".

I told if she listened really hard she would hear angels. I told her the angels were singing with loud happy voices and I told her the reason they were singing so joyfully is because they now have gifts for the Baby Jesus. Her eyes lit up and her tears went away. I told her that her gift for the angels was very special and they wanted to let her know that they thanked her.

She was so happy - I feel blessed that God helped me make a very special memory with my daughter that day!
