Hello!

My name is Fion and I'm from the small and sunny Singapore where great food, convenience and hot weather abound. My passion for inspiring quotes, stories and poems inspires me to build this website.

Since I was a teenager, insightful wisdom and meaningful words of people condensed into quotes had stirred something within me. During this growing phase fraught with awkwardness, insecurities and fears, I found comfort and encouragement through inspirational quotes. I remember copying down quotes onto index cards and pasting them onto my bedroom walls, to serve as daily reminders.

These days, I would occasionally sprinkled a quote or two when writing an article. I'm on a constant look out for more great quotes, poems and stories to share with my site visitors. I also love it when site visitors submit their original stories or poems!

Do I memorize quotes? There's too many that I like. So not really. But there's a few that I can probably remember word for word because I've been looking at them tons of time. Well, these are the ones that either appear on an inspirational poster or inspiration card that I've bought years ago and put them up in my room.

Why a Website on Quotes?

This is one topic which I believe most people will never get tired of. That's probably why people subscribe to "Quote of the Day", "Top 10 Quotes" lists, and go in search of quote sites.

When the time arrived for me to build a website based on my passion, inspirational quotes naturally sprang into mind. I knew I wanted to work with a topic that I love and I don't mind spending hours researching, compiling quotes, sourcing for stories, poems and such.

Some people write to inspire, some teach to inspire, some just have that X-factor in them to be awe-inspiring. For me, I'm happy to have the chance to spread a little inspiration around to others through my handpicked selection of quotes, poems and stories.

About This Site

Well, I've found a "system" that let me build a useful website and let me earn some money too. So yes, I do have to pay for hosting this website, but the money I earn from it more than cover the annual cost and help to pay some of my bills.

When I began this journey in December 2005, I already knew what tools I would use to build this website and to earn some cash at the same time. This is my second website after all.

But I got a confession... Even though it's my second website, I still know very little about HTML, and I still don't know how to build a website with Dreamweaver, Flash, and other programs. Because I don't need to.

I use Site Build It! (SBI!) as my web host, but it's not merely a web host, it's so much more. SBI! is designed for beginners and I built my first website without knowing a thing about building a web site in January 2005.

SBI! removes the technical barriers, allowing you to keep your attention on building your business. Many functions are completely automated. You don't need to know anything upfront about building a website in order to succeed. The tedious, "under-the-hood" stuff is handled automatically so you can focus on other important business-building activities.

There's an excellent "Action Guide" to show you the steps to follow through to building a successful website.

Don't know any web design? No problem, there's a collection of design templates for you to choose from and to customize. Don't know how to attract traffic to your website? SBI! takes care of that too.

Although the information is free on this site, SBI! has taught me to earn money with it. I'm now earning money from a program called Google Adsense by placing text ads on my site. Till now, this is probably the easiest way for me to earn money with my websites.

Occasionally I also make commissions by referring site visitors to buy other people's products. I don't need my own products to make money. SBI! showed me how I could make money from affiliate programs by recommending other people's products.

An Inspiring Success Story

Is there any success story? Sure, but I like to share Elad's story with you. When I first started I was very much and still am inspired by Elad's success story.
