An Angel You Are, Des - Inspiring Poem

My brother, Desmond Gomez returned to the Lord on the 8/9/2007. I was away in Canada en route to Cuba to enlist my daughter in the medical university in Havana. My daughter had obtained full scholarship to do medicine and my husband and I were taking her there for her 7-year medical course.

Words cannot describe my feeling of loss and remorse at not being by his side on his final journey. My heart aches till today....

This is for my baby brother who was taken by the Lord to be with him in his heavenly arms.

AN ANGEL YOU ARE... DES

In the tiny patter of raindrops outside the window,
In the beaming sunshine after the rain
In the rainbow on its majestic trip to heaven,
You are there - Des

In the little troubles we face each day
In making our life unimaginable without your presence
In the tiny surprises of each day
You are there - Des

Your smile, your laugh, your love and your light
Shines through all of us as never before.
Our steps are measured and guided because

Better place

Dear aunty,
That was a really touching poem. Although I only met uncle Des a couple of times but you dont need to know a person 4 long to feel their warmth.Uncle Des is in a better place and he's looking down at everyone and imagine his undue happiness when he sees everyone happy and successfull. That would be the greatest gift.

A beautiful poem from the heart...just as how I feel..tears well up, heart aches, life stands still and seems unbearable but God is there and works in his wonderful ways. Desmond was God's gift to us, if anything he has shown us how to love and appreciate the smallest things in life. He will live forever in our hearts and someday I hope I will be able to smile again.I miss him and will always do.My greatest achievements in life will be dedicated to him.

Dear Mum,

Without a doubt is that by far the most meaningful poem I've ever read, and I'm not just saying it for the sake of it, I know you wrote from your the bottom of your heart, and thats all that matters. Uncle Des shouldered and haboured daunting tasks of life, and I'm more than proud to say he stood out as the best and nothing but the BEST. Everything happens for a reason, and God elected Mr. Des to keep an eye on all of us down here. Although nothing can succumb the loss of not having him in our lives, his spirit still lives . I know for a fact, he's thankful to have a family who had his back through everything. Dont be sad, he's smiling right now knowing a wonderful poem was dedicated to him, how many people actually get that =P.

hi stanis, read the poem, it is inspiring to read it but more than that, it is a peom of love,every line is filled with your love for your brother. it also show the person you are, its a extension of your self this poem. a peson filled with love and avoid that has been created in his absense, but soon the void will be filled with love of his memories, and he will take a special place in your life and in your heart.Celebrate him, and his spirit, as he his living, just like we celebrate God, thats why they say,Jesus the living god. its a excellent poem, you should write more, it will help, to be close in a special way.Great poem, keep writting, you are talented. you take care and god be with u as Des is.

A truly beautiful poem for a beautiful guy. It is painful when you did not say your good-byes and could not be there when he made his journey into paradise. It's a pain that only the Lord Jesus can and will heal. I will always remember Des' cute, cheeky smile - one of a kind. Such a beautiful guy that even the cousins miss him so. In our get-togethers, each of us in our own way remember him and miss him.......

Dear Stanis,

A beautifull poem with very true words about our darling brother Desmond,I am sure he is giving us his notty grin from up there. You played a very important role actually on his last days with your patience and encouraging words..and was always there when he needed you. So i am sure he understands why you couldnt be around or maybe he wanted it that way and didnt want to see you cry. You know how he works right, Des and his wonders.
