Angels Around My Bed - Visitor's Poem

Lying awake at night
with restless thoughts in my head.
“Oh, My Lord, how I pray
for angels around my bed.”
Searching for divine knowledge
to give me peace of mind.
Have I failed to listen
and left my God so far behind?
Lord, would You once again give me
angels to help me find my way?
I need to know, I need to find,
Your angels guiding me day by day.
Is there another road to travel
which I’ve never traveled before?
May Your angels walk before me
so that my heart doesn’t hurt anymore.
The days of testing will prove my faith
with every day that lies ahead.
God, thank You so much,
You sent Your Comforter
and I saw the “Angels Around My Bed”.
This poem was written after an experience at AnMed Hospital on January 11, 2007. Dr. Lawrence Weston did a “shock treatment” to my heart and I don’t think I will ever forget this experience. If this poem helps you in your life, then God gave it to me for more reasons than just for myself.
