Anzac War - Visitor's Poem
by Dannielle
(Gladstone, QLD, Australia)
ANZAC
The sky was as dark as a shadow, no sunlight bursting through the clouds all the soldiers were standing straight in a row. They stand like young trees swaying in the winds, but their faces show fear like a frightened deer chased by a wolf. Their Captain showed bravery and proudness all the soldiers follow their own orders... to survive.
On the battle field, is wide and open, bushes rustle against the wind guns are loaded, ready to battle... All the soldiers run! They run for cover... guns shouting, people yelling you would hear the bullets hitting the ground... The Captain yells "we can win this" but in the end... everyone's a hero.
