Be the Beat in My Life - Visitor's Poem

Feel the rhythm of my heart that's beating,
As I'm walking to you and holding,
A music player worth hearing,
A piece of me I'm giving.
Take a breath and start playing,
The instrumental sound I'm saying,
Whispering to you please just hold me,
As you fade into your pillow dreaming,
Soon slowly escaping the fears you're holding,
But soon relapse rewinding,
Back to your favorite song playing,
Hearing the words I'm singing,
To remind you of your meaning.
Feel the rhythm of my heart that's now dying,
My player is slowly fading,
With rusty words slowly decaying,
As I'm whispering please recharge me,
I am only wanting, giving more than I'm saying
It's up to you to save me
To hear your favorite song that once was playing.
As you soon relapsed,
Closing your eyes and drifting,
Hitting the pillow where tears once falling,
Barely holding to what my last note is saying,
Speaking always and forever my music is playing,
All you have to do is,
Press play and I'll rewind you the moments we missed.
