Beautiful Lady - Visitor's Poem
by Abed Masinga
(Somerset Village, South Africa)
Your hair looks like a Cumulonimbus cloud,
rain cloud
The cloud that gives hope to the plougher
A summer rain cloud
Cloud that revives Karoo desert
Cloud that's absolute solution to inferno and veld fire
You eyes look like two polar stars that lighten the ways for sailors
The stars that guide the sailor when a storm rises up
Give direction to the captains who lost their courses
Eyes that give hope to the misty tumultuous waves
Your nose looks like a precious wood that Noah of the Bible
used to built an Ark
So gentle and shapely as harp,
the harp that brings joy to camel riders
Harp that produces harmony songs
Lullaby songs
Your cheeks are two trampolines adjacent to each other
Trampoline that gushes out smiles out of children
That makes the day flows fast
Trampoline that swallows sorrow and regurgitates joy
