Believe - Visitor's Poem

As you’re staring out at the powder blue sky
The sunlight divides your face into darkness and light
Similar to life’s blindness of the harsh reality
You are deceived into feeling a false sense of actuality
You can’t even begin to imagine the world’s inequality
All the pain, the suffering and the masked brutality
The vicious diseases that consume peoples’ lives
The countless innocent deaths from guns and knives,
The millions of people deprived of shelter, food, and water
The irrational and repulsive rapes of mothers and daughters
With Mother Nature’s ruinous destruction that hails down on earth
And the world’s literacy at an inexplicable dearth
It seems like the light at the end of the tunnel is fading dim
The possible solutions to life’s dilemmas are looking grim
Your conscience is screaming inside to make this right
And against insurmountable odds, you muster the courage to fight
Because it only takes one person to stand against this oppression
Takes only one person to tear down this wall of depression
And takes only one person to leave an everlasting impression
Therefore use the incredible tools in your heart and brain
And let your love and wisdom fall down like rain,
Because we all must pray for the world’s misery to cease
And dedicate our lives to this quest for peace
So join hand-in-hand with your neighbors and friends
And feel your soul as it transcends
When we’re united there is no limit in what we can achieve
If we all put our love together and believe…
