Colors - Visitor's Love Poem
by Billie-Jo House
(Canada)
Flashes of blue and deep purple, feelings in vivid colors surround me. Canyons dusty dark within echo your name. Thick, sticky emotions coat my heart like warm, golden honey...sweet and soft. Light wind dances to my lungs just to be rejected, prickly...gentle against my inner skin. Flecks of amber wood in my eyes studying everything, dreaming awake. Buttermilk smooth covering over my rigid bones with soft folds cushioning. My brain pondering, thinking...love, lust anger, hate, sadness... Colors swimming in my head. I feel the rainbow swirls calling my name like a lover. Pastels caressing my cheek, brushing back my hair. I close my eyes and dream the colors of you.
