A new year has come
throw away the sorrow and the pain
and light up your face with a huge smile
smile and open your heart.
Then let the happiness get in
a smile from the heart could
make the sunshine appear again
forget the painful past
and welcome the new year.
Safely with no fear
happily with no tears
hopefully with no despair
welcome the new year
