Homesick - Visitor's Poem
by Abed Masinga
(Somerset, South Africa)
On my way home
Home where birds are singing
Where water is flowing
Where eaglet is soaring
Sparrow is whistling
Where I can see the dawn of the sun
Home where I can see the gorgeous sun setting
Polar star shining
Galaxy not overcasted
Home where humanity prevails
Where I get connected to nature as eaglet learns to soar
Wanna breeze the juggle again
Wanna hear the arthropods and naschandus singing
Wanna lay down on the shadow of oak tree
Looking up at golden lion cloud on the sky
Seeing cirrus cloud floating from north polar to south polar
Separation of thermosphere and mesosphere
Wanna hear the kids run during break time
Singing with them during full moon
Singing old song
Zo! Zo! Vive eu sozinho
When singing o gato come o rat with them
Going to tell them why moon turns orange when rising up
I’m on my way home
Wanna see gentle tornado wavering to my door hut
Waking up by the cock crowing
Listening to duck squeaking
Smelling the flower of first spring
