Hourglass - Visitor's Poem

To withstand zeitgeist and wilderness abroad
each individual holds within their hand
a grain of sand;
the solution to every problem.

Through the cycle of stimulus and response
circulates the channel of transition -
Darkness to light.
Right from wrong.
Collaboration or opposition.

To unravel the mystery of the hourglass:
Adventures and laughter.
Decisions and expeditions.
Destiny and renascence.
Mirages and masks.
Oasis and patience.
Sand dunes, rifts, and quicksand.
Splendor in the grass.
Salvation!
