I Breathe - Visitor's Poem

by Shawn Roddy
(Illinois, USA)

The truths are there set in stone
I sigh as though we don't belong to those
What is given compared to what is owed
I gave what is phenomenal, a human body
wasn't enough, my resentment, just old and
tough, then I gave a heart to the universe
One filled with dreams alive untouched
My soul was next the blood was wise
I gave my all despite the lies.

Persisting Despite Challenges
by: Fion

Hi Shawn, thanks for your inspiring poem! Giving your all despite the struggles and challenges of life. Standing up and continuing to really live one's life despite the disappointments.
