Life - Visitor's Poem
by Cecille
(Philippines)
Silence as the valley of death
Skeletons are everywhere
Bony hands stretch wide
T’was scary as hell
Eyes like balls of fire
Hungry mouths like a volcano
Voice as deep as where the underworld lies
Want to be free but nowhere to go
Gently open their mouths
To welcome the kiss of each sun ray
Flowers bloom everywhere
Shadow of death is nowhere to find
Waking up from its winter slumber
Smells like evergreen
Awestruck, everywhere turns green
Small and tall that turns green smiles
Everywhere you look
Surrounds a garden of beauty
All you can see and feel is joy of each smile
I never stop dreaming of life full of joy and beauty to cherish
