Lost Loved Ones Too - Visitor's Poem
by Vickie L Smith
(West Virginia, USA)
See the candle glows in the window, while the snow falls softly to the ground. Do you see the beauty in a person as they would laugh, cry or frown? See the stars in the sky. In the sky glistering. While the moon is full, so bright. See the clouds how they move. Like a plane disappears. Disappears into the night. They had taken their last flight. With their golden wings. As they fly toward. Toward a sky so blue. They say, "It's thee angels waiting. Waiting to welcome you." I've lost loved ones too. You won't hear their cries. But your tears they will fall. How this doth break one's heart in two. For a loved one who's pass on. I can feel their pain as well as mind. I can see sadness in their eyes. I know how it hurts to tell a loved one good-bye. You will miss them everyday. But their memories will remain. You see, they are with God now. No more they will suffer or be in pain. God will lift them up. Take them back home. Though the memories will forever remain. Now no more they suffer. No more they cry. There's no pain now. No more hurting all the time. I have see tears fallen for a loved one. Now this can break one's heart inside. I have see their sadness. I've see it in their eyes. Yes I can feel their pain. I know this can break one's heart in two. You see I've lost loved ones too. People have cried upon my shoulder. I have wiped their tears away. I will give them a hug and say, "There is a better place." Though it's hard to find words to say. I've lost loved ones too. Though the memories will always remain.
