Love Me For Me - Visitor's Poem

I can't explain what I am feeling
or how fast the time is passing.
I can't explain the thoughts I am thinking
or the moments of life worth living.
I can't point out your weakness,
or look for your perfection.
I am just like anyone else,
an open book ready to be read.
I am not a super hero,
but instead the one who needs to be rescued.
I have questions and answers
but never always solutions.
I have people in my life that are breathtaking,
and people who also are misleading.
I can never be the person you want to be,
only the one standing right in front of your face.
Accept me and you will accept my past.
See me as what I am today
and not as yesterday.
Love me for what I am becoming,
and I promise you I will be
the one worth not forgetting.
