Recall Thy Kindness For Me - Visitor's Love Poetry
by Nestor M. Bacani

Recall the sympathy you had for me
When I first approached thee
To ask that, for me, you pray for God's mercy
And with wings of angels, you carried me
Recall the unspoken happiness you felt
When next to you, like a little boy, I knelt
To hand the poetry composed with my intellect's wealth
As I glanced at your beauty, my heart in love profusely melt
Recall the brief moments you and I spoke
In mutual love two hearts invoke
To set the pace of harmony our souls provoke
Even to martyrdom, we hold hands in our own blood soak
Why then, so sudden, just leave me in the cold
In painful silence you discarded me out of your fold
And gone, too is your soft voice of heavenly gold
That has aroused my spirit and made me even more morally bold
But I know the workings of your heart and mine
Unspoken words of love; gestures made fine
Patience of time in sipping spiritual wine
To prove the depth of commitment bound to shine
And so my heart awaits again the whispers of your lips
Though in pain, unwavering forgiveness never sleeps
While contemplating your quiet majesty my emotion keeps
Time, always on my side, will vindicate the truth from my lips
