Road for One - Visitor's Poem
by Aryn Nantau

You ask me why I’m running, I don’t have an answer.
You ask me why I’m hiding, I tell you that I’m not.
You tell me to slow down for a minute, just a minute you say.
I can’t, because I know your eyes might slow me down.
The way you look at me, that glimmer in your eye.
I’m on my way down a road that only I can walk alone.
The time I have had with you, I am grateful.
It’s time to move on now, there is always another fate waiting.
I hate to leave you standing there, just watching in the dust.
But the time has come and I am on my way, somewhere new, somewhere far.
