The ether of appreciation floating through us
A warmth of feeling, our confidence swelling
Soaking it up, our foot print forming,
Cosseting us in leaner times
Cherishing the gift of appreciation
Be it in words, smiles, hugs
And giving this gift each time, each day
The effort free, the impact enriching
The glue binding us tightly
Yet melting hearts however icy
The present holding a gift now
Waiting to be bestowed
