The New Sun - Visitor's Poem

by Nitika Bharti
(Delhi, India)

Who has stolen the the charm
out of the sun?
Stillness & no breeze in any farm
but the crops didn't wilt
coz the culprit didn't will
as he was not the one to rip.

The night looks dearer than the day
to those who are making hay
coz the night witnessed a star
brighter than the rest
others gazed with envy & distress
who has stolen the charm out of the sun.

Who has achieved the herculean
task that was beyond the ordinary
& hailed as the centurion
out of those who were castenary
others looked on as he passed by gallantly
who has stolen the charm out of the sun

Everyone was eager to know
but he did not show
as he thought of contemporaries
who might have a heart burn
knowing the identity of The New Sun.
