News - Visitor's Poem

by Liz Gillespie
(Stirling, Scotland)

Looking back as the year comes to a close I reflect on what’s gone on by

War and hunger, poverty and rage…. I shake my head and sigh

An ever flowing river of sorrow seems to run across the land

The greed and ignorance, hatred and envy created by our own hand

But what about the tears of joy and the news that is happy and good

We never see enough of this and I honestly think we should

The negativity in all our lives should never take the lead

And equal balance if bad and good is what we really need
