R.I.P. grandpa...love ya

Paternal Grandmother

I saw her today and she looked great
She buckled me in and drove me to McDonald's.
Today was a fun day with Grandma.
I saw her today and she looked great.
I buckled her in and I drove her to Hobby Lobby.
Today was a fun day with Grandma.
I saw her today and she didn't know who I was.
With a puzzled look on her face, she turned and walked away.
Today was a sad day with Grandma.
(Dedicated to anyone who has those memories of spending time with their grandparents. It saddens me to know that some day when I go visit my Grandmother she won't know who I am. Dementia and Alzheimer's is a scary thing and I hate that my grandmother is going through it, but it's a part of life... I love you Grandma.)
