Dwellings - Visitor's Poem

by Adrian McGinn
(Paris, France)

Dwell in the now, it is our home
Inhabit it with care and belonging
The past has slipped through our hands
While grasping for the future longingly

One day there will be no tomorrow
Best laid plans superfluous, wanting
When a past full of sorrows
Threatens to becomes our legacy

Now is won by it being our own
Each a moment of a lifetime
It's when we smile not frown
And embrace everything in its space

Embrace now
by: Fion

Hi Adrian, thanks for your thoughtful poem! It urges us to embrace the now, let the past go and not over-focus on the future that we lose sight of the present we each hold within our hands.
